Dr. William A. Taylor, Jr. was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and moved to New York at age 7. He graduated from Hampton Institute now known as Hampton University in Virginia in 1979.
Dr. Taylor taught High School in Newport News for a number of years before going to Dental School. He attended Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry, and graduated in 1989. Dr. Taylor did an Advanced General Dentistry Residency Program at Howard University from 1989-1990. He currently, in addition to private practice, does Nursing Home and Home bound Dentistry in Washington, D.C. and Maryland.
He is a member of the ADA, AGD and NDA.
Hobbies include coaching girls basketball and Masters competitive swimming.
Realizing how important time is for most people, we have made every effort to accommodate our patients in both locations and availability. We are located at 1311-A East-West Highway, Silver Spring, Maryland 20910 around the corner from the Silver Spring Metro Redline. Also Dr. Taylor goes to Nursing facilities and homes

Realizing that emergencies arise unexpectedly, we offer an answer service 24-hours a day and a beeper service. Please call (443-280-1194). We also welcome out-of-town guests who may experience emergencies.
To minimize administrative costs, and therefore your fees, payment is expected at the time of service. Fees for services may be paid by cash, check or credit card.
INSURANCE
Currently, we are accepting Dentalquest and D.C. Medicaid. We will complete your Insurance claim to determine if the insurance will reimburse you. However, cash, credit card, Care Credit and checks are acceptable forms of payment.
Your initial visit will include a thorough examination of the teeth, gums and supporting tissues. Models of your teeth, X-rays, and other diagnostic tests may be collected to determine your dental needs and subsequent treatment.
Most dental insurance plans cover the total cost of recall visits. As stated previously, it is much more cost-effective to pay for regular preventive dental care as opposed to infrequent but costly emergency care. It is, therefore, our practice philosophy to stress prevention. Good patients are those who seek regular preventive care. We wish to contribute to the attainment of good oral health for today as well as tomorrow. This means conscientious home care and regular visits.
